Dr. Jeffrey Gimble, Obatala's Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Cecilia Sanchez, Obatala's Chief Scientific Officer, spoke at the International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Sciences. Dr. Gimble is a board member and past president of IFATS and served as an introductory speaker for a session entitled, "Regenerative Medical Advances in Military Medicine and Surgery Based on the Work Ongoing at USUHS, Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval Medical Centers". Dr. Sanchez presented on a talk entitled, "ncorporating Patient Diversity within Adipose Tissue Models for Metabolic Disease Screening".

Dr. Trivia Frazier joins Tulane Engineering Forum
Obatala's CEO joined the annual Tulane Engineering Forum as the Co-Chair of a Session on Innovation Engineering. The Tulane Engineering Forum began in 2000 and is presented annually by the engineering alumni of Tulane University and the Tulane School of Science and Engineering. It is intendeed to allow Tulane University to reach out to the New Orleans community and showcase the research activities of the School of Science and Engineering. Obatala CEO Speaks at Convergence Conference
Obatala's CEO, Dr. Trivia Frazier, gave a keynote address at the 2021 Convergence Conference, which brought together industry and academia to discuss how to successful translate technologies out of universities and into the market. The conference was hosted by Tulane University, LSU Health Sciences Center, and the New Orleans BioInnovation Center. The event was held at the BioInnovation Center and also featured presentations by Walter Isaacson and others.
